ASYO FOLDERS AND MUSIC GUIDELINES

All ASYO students will be assigned a folder for their music and their materials. This folder must be turned in at the end of each concert cycle (December and May). 

Folders MUST be brought to each rehearsal with YOUR music. Even if you share music with another player (and you often will) it is important that your music is with you at each rehearsal. 

There are NOT "extra" copies of music. Students are issued one, high quality copy of music for each concert cycle and are expected to keep up with that music. 

All music must be TURNED IN with your folder at the end of each concert cycle, or when your conductor asks you to.  This allows us to comply with copyright law. 

LOST music can be replaced with a high quality copy from us at the rate of $10.00 PER COPY. We require a week of notice for this and the fee must be paid in advance. 

Please keep the following in mind for music: 

• Music must ONLY be written on in PENCIL. There should be NO highlighters, ink, etc. 
• Do not fold music into your case, stuff music in your backpack, dog ear pages, etc. Music should be kept in the folder that you are issued. The folders are TOO LARGE to be put in a backpack in order to protect the music (and to give you high quality, professionally printed music). You will damage the folder and the music if you try to make it fit. 
• Your conductor/director may do random "music checks" to make sure that you have your music and your folder at rehearsal. 

There is a $50.00 charge for lost folders or damaged music that must be paid before continuing with the ASYO.
